Pinot Rosé 2025

A pale blush hue invites you into a delicately fragrant bouquet of fresh red currant, wild strawberry, and a whisper of white peach. Subtle floral notes and a hint of citrus zest add lift and finesse. The palate is dry and gracefully textured, offering precise flavours of cranberry and pink grapefruit with a touch of salinity. Bright, zesty acidity and a refined mineral finish capture the essence of a Provence-inspired rosé — elegant, refreshing, and effortlessly drinkable.

  • The 2025 season delivered another year of exceptional Central Otago quality. A November frost—much like in 2024—kept yields low, especially for Pinot Noir and Rosé, but the smaller crop produced fruit of outstanding concentration and character. Our vineyard team worked tirelessly, using Biodynamic preparations 500 and 501 to strengthen soils and support healthy, balanced vines. Harvest began on March 5th with sparkling Pinot Noir, followed by still Pinot Noir, then Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Grüner Veltliner through mid-April. Cool nights during ripening preserved bright natural acidity, promising elegant, age-worthy wines across the range. 
  • Hand-picked in ideal condition and ripeness on March 15, 2025 from a rather steep slope. Fully destemmed, with approximately 4 hours skin contact. Only free run juice used, indigenous yeast ferment in stainless steel tank. The winemaking was very much in keeping with the traditional practices of the Old World. The winemaker, Rudi Bauer, has combined these techniques, and his own personal understanding, to create this wine.
