Quartz Reef Bendigo Central Otago Chardonnay 2024
Certified organic and estate-grown, our 2024 Chardonnay is a wine of elegance and quiet power. Hand-picked fruit was fermented and aged for 12 months in French oak casks (10% new), allowing texture and complexity to build while preserving freshness and site expression.
Bright light lemon-green with a hint of straw, it is mouthfilling and savoury. Rich, ripe peach and citrus flavours are layered with subtle biscuity notes from barrel maturation. Fresh acidity carries through to a slightly creamy, lingering finish, creating a refined and harmonious wine with impressive balance.
This is a Chardonnay built for the long term. While already expressive, it will truly shine from 2028 onward, rewarding patience with further depth and integration.
Quartz Reef Bendigo Estate Single Ferment Pinot Noir 2021 “Velvet”
Certified organic and biodynamic, this special bottling represents a singular expression of our Bendigo Estate vineyard in Central Otago. Personally selected by Rudi Bauer, this “Single Ferment” is chosen for its ability to most clearly articulate the character of the vineyard.
Hand-picked fruit was matured in French oak casks and bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve purity and texture. The 2021 vintage, named “Velvet,” is highly fragrant with bright, full colour and youthful vitality at five years of age.
Mouthfilling, savoury and supple, it offers lovely richness and texture, with layered flavours and notable complexity. It is beautifully poised — delicious now, yet structured for graceful cellaring.
Loop Road Central Otago Pinot Noir 2023
Crafted from certified organic, estate-grown fruit at Bendigo, the 2023 Loop Road Pinot Noir delivers generous charm and immediate appeal.
Bright ruby in the glass, it is mouthfilling, savoury and supple, with satisfying depth of cherry, plum and spice. Considerable complexity is balanced by excellent harmony, making it both engaging and approachable. This is a Pinot Noir with loads of drink-young appeal, while still reflecting the distinctive Bendigo character.
