“Great sparkling wine should be delicious above all else. This outstanding traditional method blanc de blancs combines elegance and precision, whilst delivering so much pleasure and was the clear favourite for the panel.” – Jane Skilton MW

Persistent mousse. Soaring floral, white pepper and chalk aromas. Incredible tension and youthfulness, taut and crystalline in texture with high acidity yet no tartness. Citrus and floral flavours are laced with oyster-shell minerality, building towards a long, laser-like finish. Subtle brioche notes close the loop on this reverberant sparkling wine with a long life ahead.

  • The season started with mild spring temperatures, earlier than usual budburst and rainfall in late November/early December providing good soil moisture. Hard frosts reduced the crop, followed by warm and settled weather and an overall hotter than usual growing season. The resulting 2019 vintage is outstanding in quality.
  • Grapes were hand-picked in ideal condition on 6 March 2019. Bottled on 16 November 2019, this exceptional wine was aged for five years on lees, then riddled and disgorged by hand during Spring 2024 on-site at Quartz Reef. A refined blend of 93% Chardonnay and 7% Pinot Noir, showcasing purity, precision and hallmark elegance.
