"Smoke, wild herbs, perfumed florals, dark cherry; a dark & brooding element, coffee & chocolate with time. Powerfully mouthfilling and rich, raspberry and dark berries, graphite and generous oak notes the sweet fruit finding an ally in wild herbs and some licorice on the long, brooding close. Structured, fresh, the intent and quality obvious, yet the ‘Estate’ version is my fave."
"Complex, youthful core of fruit and wood spices. Layers of dried herb and exotic tea. Dry and equally complex on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose plus many more that emerge and evolve as the wine opens up in the glass. Firm youthful tannins and acidity to match, a core of fruit and minerality suggesting crushed rocks. Dried herb, layers of wood spice, lengthy finish, youthful and dry. Best from 2022 through 2032."
"Bright and fresh nose, subtlety, a sweet accent to the perfume, underlying savoury, raspberry and spice notes, adding thyme and rosemary with time. Sweeter fruit initially in the red fruit/raspberry spectrum with a fine tannic backbone, this swells in the glass, developing a fleshiness and delightful flow through the palate. Nice balance here and excellent potential."
"Certified biodynamic, the refined, youthful 2017 vintage (5*) was estate-grown at Bendigo, hand-picked and matured in French oak barriques (28 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is invitingly perfumed, with strong, ripe fruit flavours, vibrant and supple, excellent complexity, and a long ,finely poised finish. Already drinking well, it should be at its best from 2021 onwards."
