The Real Review Top Wineries of New Zealand 2020

Quartz Reef Wines have been awarded 9th place in the 2020 Top Wineries of New Zealand by The Real Review.

The Real Review Top Wineries of New Zealand 2020 has just been released by The Real Review. The list ranks the top 176 wineries of New Zealand, it is an impressive list and we are incredibly pleased to be ranked in the top 10 wineries for the first time alongside some of New Zealand’s renowned producers.

Quartz Reef wines have received the ‘The Real Review’ certificate of Excellence for the third year and are honoured to be ranked 9^th, after placing 11^th in 2019 and 17^th the previous year. Quartz Reef Bendigo Estate Vineyard was established in 1998 by Rudi Bauer. Both vineyard and winemaker creating their own history chapter as pioneers in New Zealand’s developing wine industry.

We farm holistically, with full organic and biodynamic certification. “For us the highest priority is being good custodians of the land and growing grapes and making wine in a responsible manner. We want to show that you can look after the land and ensure it is in better shape for the next generation while making great wine at the same time.”
