Budburst Has Arrived at Quartz Reef

Spring has officially arrived in the vineyard!

Here at Quartz Reef in Bendigo, Central Otago, we’re starting to see budburst across our biodynamic vineyard, with the first little green buds appearing on the Chardonnay.

It’s always an exciting time of year. After the quiet winter months, the vines are waking up and the new growing season is beginning. Every tiny green bud marks the start of another journey in the vineyard, from flowering and fruit set through to harvest.

Our organic and biodynamic vineyards in Central Otago are now bursting back into life, and we’ll be watching closely as the season unfolds.
