A day in the Vineyard: Grüner Veltliner picking 2023

It was a happy crew that energetically approached the picking of our Grüner Veltliner,
with laughter and good vibes amongst the vines aplenty :)

Joelle Thomson and daughter Ruby, Larry McKenna (esteemed winemaker and long-time friend of Rudi), and our favourite Davey from Ortega Fish Shack in Wellington.
We also had a special guest appearance from Greta (team Bauer).
This "Dream Team" complemented our Grüner Veltliner picking crew this year.

ALSO ... you may know that we name all our Pinot Noir ferments, but we have never given our precious Gruner Veltliner ferment a name. But 2023 is the exception, and perhaps the start of a new thing. Davey of course got naming rights, and he chose "The Good Vibes Journey".
