Vintage 2013 Blanc de Blancs

• This wine is from our BioGro certified organic and Demeter certified biodynamic estate vineyard located in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard was planted in 1998 after careful site selection. The soils on the beautiful north facing slope are Waenga fine sandy loam and Letts steepland soil with an elevation of 217 - 264 metres, on 44.55° south.
• The 2013 season was the quickest harvest ever for the winery with all grapes being picked within one week. This gave good uniformity to the grapes, which were extremely healthy when picked. Most importantly, the quality of the fruit was high. We experienced hot, dry and settled weather throughout the summer which allowed for extended ripening and full aromatic expression with great concentration; the perfect combination for our 2013 Blanc de Blancs Vintage.
• The grapes were hand-picked in ideal condition on the 20th March 2013. A selected blend of 91% Chardonnay and 9% Pinot Noir. Bottle fermented and aged 56 months on lees. Riddled and disgorged by hand from Winter 2018.
• pH: 3.05, TA: 8.2g/l, Alc: 12.5%, RS: 4g/l
