Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris 2001

Quartz Reef

Vintage 2001

Our third release is of equal quality to the 1999 and 2000 releases - hand picked on May 12 in very ripe condition at the Pociecha vineyard in Gibbston Valley.

After pressing of the grapes and the very generous juice racking (high amount of juice lees) the wine underwent a warmish ferment for twelve days. The wine was kept on its primary lees and constantly lees stirred until September 29th, before being stabilised and bottled on October 11th.
